The Occupational Therapy service at the IEO Independent Living Centre focuses on developing practical skills that can support greater independence in daily life and work-related activities.

IEO’s occupational therapy services include activities designed to improve fine motor abilities, hand function, coordination, and Activities of Daily Living.

Our Occupational Therapy Services

Fine Motor Skills Training

Training focuses on practical hand and finger activities such as:

  • Writing
  • Buttoning
  • Grasping

These activities are designed to support functional skills required in everyday life.

Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Training

ADL training focuses on developing skills related to everyday activities and greater self-reliance.

Hand Function & Coordination Therapy

The service also includes activities aimed at developing hand function and coordination.

Supporting Independent Living

Occupational therapy is an important part of the IEO Independent Living Centre’s wider rehabilitation and independent living approach.

By developing practical daily living and work-related skills, IEO aims to support persons with disabilities in becoming more independent and participating more actively in their communities.
